Dorota and Jerome met in Montreal through a mutual friend.  Jerome’s apartment walls doubled as an art gallery, and Dorota immediately noticed a mesmerizing painting; a dentist with pain in his eyes holding a toothfairy whose smile emanated pure light,  “I became so entranced that I decided to buy the painting that night, even though I had never bought a piece of artwork in my life”. 

This painting inspired the writing of The Dentist and The Toothfairy, a haunting story about a dentist’s inner journey, his struggle between the man he once was and the man he wants to be, a cloaked figure that forces him to face his turbulent past, and his duel with love.  Set in a fantastical world of militia men, country-dwellers, fairies, and temptresses, this story twists and turns, luring the reader into many unexpected locales.
